The meeting was attended by all 29 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), Presiding Members, and allied Directors of the RCC.

MMDCEs and Directors were given the platform to assess their annual accomplishments and challenges encountered since the beginning of the year, and also to elicit their programs and prospects for the remaining quarters of the year.
In a speech, the Regional Minister being the Chairman for the Council Meeting, reaffirmed that the restriction of aboboya from the Motorway remains in effect and also revealed that the further restrictions of Aboboyaa from the highways and ceremonial roads announced earlier will kick off soon with the commissioning of the newly completed Solid Waste Transfer Stations.

The Council Meeting also resolved that the usage of the passenger commuting tricycles, popularly known as "Pragia" be restricted from the Central Business District, Ceremonial Roads, and in certain areas within the city.
He further stressed that the role of Internally Generated Funds (IGF) could not be over-emphasized, especially in the Greater Accra Region, which is highly urbanised. He said the Ministry of Finance Budget Guidelines directed the MMDAs to commit and use at least 20 percent of the IGF for capital projects.

“But I want to challenge MMDCEs and presiding members here to commit and invest a minimum of 30 percent of their total IGF in capital projects for the direct benefit of the citizenry.” He said.
