The furniture comprises:

200 mono desks

600 chairs
The intervention is aimed particularly at addressing furniture challenges in Kindergarten (KG) and Primary Schools across both mainland and island communities in the district.
Speaking on the initiative, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Kate Mawusi Babanawo, stressed that quality education cannot be achieved when children are forced to sit on bare floors.
She said the Assembly remains committed to creating a more conducive learning environment where every child can sit comfortably, concentrate and learn effectively.
The DCE explained that the distribution of the furniture would be undertaken transparently and based on a needs assessment conducted in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service, with priority given to the most deprived schools.

Hon. Kate Mawusi Babanawo expressed appreciation to H.E. President John Dramani Mahama for his visionary leadership and support to District Assemblies under the Resetting Ghana Agenda, which she said continues to create opportunities for meaningful development interventions at the local level.
She also commended the District Director of Education, Madam Victoria Atsupe Yawa Baako, for her dedication and continuous collaboration with the Assembly towards improving education in Kwahu Afram Plains North.
The intervention is expected to provide much-needed relief to schools facing furniture shortages and contribute to creating a better learning environment for pupils across the district.
The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to working with the GES and other stakeholders to provide children in Kwahu Afram Plains North with the facilities they deserve and build a stronger foundation for their future.
