Wiafe Akhenten SHS Gets Completed 12-Unit Classroom Block

The Wiafe Akhenten Senior High School has taken delivery of a completed 12-unit classroom block, providing the school with additional infrastructure to support teaching and learning.

The project was initially commenced by the previous administration, which completed the ground-floor structure before the project was left unfinished.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com, the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Caesar Acheampong Ofosu, stated that the current administration took up the project and ensured its completion to provide the school with the needed classroom facilities.

According to him, the completion of the project demonstrates the administration’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure and ensuring that ongoing projects that directly benefit students are brought to completion.

The project was completed using the 20% District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) Legacy Project allocation.

The completed facility has been fully furnished with furniture and other essential items, making it ready to accommodate students and support effective teaching and learning.

The addition of the 12-unit classroom block is expected to ease pressure on existing facilities at Wiafe Akhenten Senior High School and provide students with a more conducive and comfortable environment for academic work.

The facility has subsequently been commissioned for use by the school, marking the completion of a project that had remained unfinished after the construction of the ground-floor structure.

The intervention forms part of broader efforts to improve educational infrastructure within the municipality and ensure that students have access to adequate and appropriate facilities to support their education.
