Koforidua Zongo Market Commissioned to Boost Trade and Economic Growth

The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly has commissioned the newly constructed Koforidua Zongo Market as part of efforts to improve market infrastructure, support local businesses, and promote economic development within the municipality.

The commissioning ceremony was led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for New Juaben South, Ransford Owusu Boakye, in collaboration with the Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey.

The new market is expected to provide a modern and conducive trading environment for traders while enhancing commercial activities in the municipality. The project forms part of the Assembly's broader commitment to improving public infrastructure and creating opportunities for economic growth.

Speaking at the event, the MCE described markets as the heartbeat of local communities, noting that they provide livelihoods for many residents and play a vital role in driving development. He said the investment demonstrates the government's dedication to improving the welfare of traders and strengthening the local economy.

Ransford Owusu Boakye congratulated traders and residents on the successful completion of the project and reaffirmed the government's commitment to implementing development initiatives that improve living standards and accelerate the socio-economic development of the New Juaben South Municipality.
