The joy expressed by the supporters including Assembly Members, members from the public and party faithful who witness the proceeding was justifiable because some nominees in other parts of the region were not so lucky to have gone through this last hurdle of becoming chief executives of their various assemblies.

Mr. Frimpong’s chance of a successful confirmation was rated high having served in that capacity for some months before his party went into opposition and many believed he was on the right path at the time.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Frimpong thanked all and sundry for the honour than him with such overwhelming endorsement that has offered him a second chance to serve the district as the District Chief Executive.

He assured and pledged to be a father for all and not only for those from his party.

He called for the support from all including the staff, assembly members, chiefs and all other stakeholders, adding that he believes with their help and support the district will witness accelerated development.

He also extended a passionate appeal to traditional authorities in the district to build a good rapport with their subjects to ensure unity that will enhance their developmental quest as a district.
