The cohort includes 55 Prison Service Assistants and 35 Community First Medical Responders.
The newly trained personnel, who passed out at a recent commissioning event, are part of a national YEA initiative to create jobs for the youth while bolstering essential public services. The Prison Assistants will support custody, welfare, and rehabilitation efforts at facilities including the Ejura Camp Prison, while the Medical Responders will strengthen local emergency care.

The Member of Parliament for Ejura Sekyedumase, Hon. Alhaji Dr. Bawa Braimah Mohammed, joined YEA officials, including the Ejura Municipal Director, Mr. Adongo Samuel, to congratulate the recruits. In his address, the MP charged them to serve with dedication.
“Go out there and make the government proud,” Hon. Mohammed stated. He highlighted the programme’s dual benefit of providing immediate employment and a potential pathway to permanent careers after successful service and training.

The MP also emphasized his continued advocacy for expanded technical skills training alongside such modules to equip the youth with diverse, sustainable competencies.
The event also served to mark the commissioning of other recent batches of officers, underscoring YEA’s sustained support for job creation and national security in the municipality.
