The programme which was organized by the National Youth Authority-Kintampo Municipal office with key stakeholders saw all youth groups, both secondary and tertiary, fashion designers, youth in farming, decorators and other vocations come together at the Kintampo Municipal Assembly premises with their exhibits to encourage other youth to mentor and better their livelihood instead of looking for white color jobs which are not available.

Mr. John Hammod the Director from the Municipal Business Advisory Center, Mr. Benjamin Amofa the Bono East Regional MASLO Director, Mr. Fredus entrepreneur and philanthropist from the Municipality were invited guest who came to inspire, inform and educate the growing youth of the municipality on how to set-up, develop or expand their businesses.

The Municipal Director for National Youth Authority, Mr. Shaibu Fuseini Fentedua in his address, stated the important of using “Empowering the Youth for inclusive Development and sustainable Impact” as the theme for the programme; stating that it was to call on the youth of Kintampo to take action; a platform to reflect and nurture their dreams.

He stated that, the youth of the municipality should have a common goal; that is the development of the municipality through active youth programme participation for their voices, ideas and innovations would be head.

He added that, “this forum is an opportunity for us to deliberate on issues affecting the youth in Kintampo Municipality from unemployment, education, entrepreneurship, digital inclusion, agricultural, environmental sustainability, civic engagement “. He encourages all to fully participate and asked questions, contributions and lean.

The Municipal Chief Executive(MCE) For the Kintampo Municipality Mr. Isaac Donkor in his speech outlined some activities his government, the National Democratic Congress(NDC) is undertaking and asked all to get involved such as the ; Better Skills and Education for TVET centers, Support for Entrepreneurs; start-up loans, business hubs and training opportunities available to support their innovations and hustle.

Others are Digital and Creative growth, Agribusiness Opportunities and youth Inclusion; stronger youth-focus policies, the creation of a youth ministry to involve young people in local governance among others.

He advised them not just to be the future, but the present farmers, innovators, students, artisans, entrepreneurs, and the digital king kongs who are already shaping the direction of our communities.

Mr. Donkor challenged them to the task of dreaming boldly, act courageously, and never underestimate their value to the Kintampo Municipality.
