This caution was contained in an address read on behalf of the party constituency executives during a press conference held recently to respond to some allegations raised earlier by the YDF against the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia.

Delivering the address, the Constituency Secretary Mr. Tannor James Kwadwo stated that “if YDF believes in party structures as they claim, then the wisest thing to do is to disband itself and advise it's members and their paymasters to set a good example of good party conducts by channeling their grievances through the established procedures and stop advertising their own ignorance and that of their paymasters.

It could be recall that a group calling itself Young Democrats Force who claimed to be affiliated to the main opposition National Democratic Congress accused the General Secretary of the party Johnson Asiedu Nketia of masterminding the defeat of the party in the 2016 General Elections.

The YDF continued to alleged that General Mosquito as known in the Ghanaian politics misled the then President John Dramani Mahama into forming splinter groups for the 2016 elections.

The group again alleged that the NDC Chief Scribe is no more popular by virtue of the fact that the NDC lost the Tain constituency, Brong Ahafo Region which is the home constituency and region respectively of the National General Secretary.

This, the constituency executives discredited saying "it is absurd and inconceivable to attribute the loss of the constituency and the region to the General Secretary when the circumstances that led to our loss in the region is crystal clear".

The statement revealed that "with respect to the Brong Ahafo Region, every discerning observer knows the heavy negative impact of the DKM scandal on our chances of NDC winning the Region.

The statement continued to explain that "in regards to splinter groups, the party after the 2016 general elections set up the Kwesi Botchway Committee to investigate the cause of our defeat and recommend measures for remedial actions towards future elections.

The committee did it work to the admiration of all and its recommendations have since been with the party. Nowhere in the entire Kwesi Botchway report was the General Secretary mentioned as having been responsible for the formation of splinter groups within the party, rather Hon. Asiedu Nketia is on record as having condemned the formation of splinter groups within the NDC and warning the party of the grave consequences of their activities in our campaign efforts".

The Secretary then described Mr Asiedu Nketia who has represented the Constituency and the party in Parliament for three consecutive terms as the most popular politician in the country Ghana today and the most competent for the position he holds.
