Gravelling of Gaa market to commence trading activities
Date Created : 2/3/2026 : Story Author : Susana Danso/Ghanadistricts.com
The Gaa Market was constructed by the immediate past government under the SOCO Projects Programme. However, the facility remained unused as residents raised concerns, including the need for gravelling and other undisclosed issues.
The MCE paid a visit to Gaa where they met with the Gaa Chief and other opinion leaders to engage them on the importance of utilizing the market.
During the meeting, the MCE disclosed that the Assembly had received a letter from SOCO Projects, urging the community to begin using the market immediately.
The letter further warned that failure to do so could result in the Gushegu Municipal Assembly being blacklisted, which would halt the execution of future SOCO projects in the Municipality.
Following the engagement, the Chief and people of Gaa expressed appreciation and resolved to commence trading activities at the market without further delay.
