Asunafo North Assembly failed to elect a Presiding Member
The Asunafo North Municipal Assembly has failed in its fourth attempt to elect a Presiding Member (PM) to stir affairs and propel development in the municipality.

Mr. Osei Sarfo Benjamin who went unopposed as usual did not garner even votes for his approval.
Before the confirmation, the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD) Mr. Mohammed Alhassan Yakubu pleaded with the house to unite and build consensus devoid of partisan positions for massive development in the municipality.
He further stressed that without a presiding member; there would be no progress or development in the area in education, agricultural, health and social economic sectors.
At the end of voting, the Asunafo North Electoral Commission (EC) Mr. Gideon Yeboah declared the total vote cast of 31. 27 voted for the PM aspirant, 4 voted No and 12 members did not vote.
The Electoral Commission calls for the second round were turned down. Mr. Osei Sarfo Benjamin could not secure the 30 votes to be a Presiding member.
