MCE Hands Over Newly Completed Classroom Block to Kurabaso JHS

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the West Gonja Municipal Assembly, Mr. Yakubu B. Castro, has officially handed over a newly completed classroom block to Kurabaso Junior High School.

The handover ceremony was witnessed by the Municipal Director of Education, the Assembly Member for the area, Mr. Godwin Kumatae, members of the Kurabaso School Management Committee, teachers, and students.

Addressing the gathering Mr.  Yakubu B. Castro encouraged both teachers and students to make effective use of the new facility to enhance teaching and learning. He noted that Kurabaso JHS remains one of the high-performing schools in the municipality and expressed confidence that the new classroom block would further improve academic outcomes.

The MCE also advised the school administration to uphold high standards of hygiene and maintain a clean school environment, stressing that cleanliness promotes discipline and supports the broader development agenda of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

He further urged school authorities to cultivate a strong maintenance culture and to promptly notify his office whenever the facility shows signs of deterioration, to allow for timely intervention.

Additionally, the MCE cautioned individuals encroaching on the school land to desist from such activities. He assured the community that the Assembly would engage affected persons to explore alternative settlement options in order to preserve a peaceful environment conducive to teaching and learning.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Yakubu B. Castro expressed appreciation to members of the West Gonja Municipal Assembly, the School Management Committee, the Municipal Director of Education, and the entire staff of Kurabaso Junior High School for their cooperation and support.
