The appeal was made when the DCE, accompanied by technical staff of the Anloga District Assembly, received the Volta Regional Director of GIFEC, Dr. Francis Seglah, for an inspection of the proposed site for the installation of a GIFEC-powered telecommunications mono tower at Anloga Atihepe.
As part of the visit, the team also inspected existing telecommunications towers at Latame and Agortoe to assess their operational status and identify areas requiring improvement.
During the inspection, Madam Kpedor urged the Regional Director to expedite work on the telecommunications towers to enhance communication services throughout the district. She further appealed for the expansion of network coverage to underserved communities experiencing poor mobile network reception.
The initiative forms part of efforts to bridge the digital connectivity gap and improve access to reliable telecommunications services, which are expected to support socio-economic development and enhance communication for residents across the Anloga District.
