Adansi North: 46 SHS students write level II mathematics examination
46 Senior High School students have written mathematics examination for the level II (Silver) of the High Skuul Maths League competition at the T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School, Fomena.

The competition, which is an Enobanation Ghana initiative, seeks to eliminate the perception that, mathematics is a difficult subject and also help prepare students for the West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The competition which has 3 levels, bronze, silver and gold, commenced with 300 students from the 3 SHS in the Adansi North District out of which 46 successfully made it through the bronze to silver.
In order to test students on their understanding of mathematical concepts and speed, the rule of the competition does not allow students to use mathematical sets or calculators and a student needs to score more than half of the total score which is 80 .to qualify for the 3rd (final) level.
The Adansi North District Education Director, Alhaji Ibrahim Amankwah, expressed his satisfaction at the progress of the competition. He lauded the students and tutors as well as the supporting partners for promoting the programme and was optimistic the programme would achieve it intended purpose.
The Ghana Education Service - Adansi North District, Adansi North District Assembly, S? Mu Bi initiative and the Mathematics Department of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology are supporting partners for the programme.
