The fully furnished exams center sponsored by AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine has printers installed which can print, sort, arrange and staple up to 100 pages per minute and will print exams papers for schools as well as mock examination papers for candidates preparing for BECE.
The MCE at the ceremony to commission the center noted that the edifice is a product of a series of deliberations between the Assembly and AGAG to find a permanent solution to printing of exam papers for the annual mock examinations conducted in Obuasi.
Mr. Adansi-Bonah said the Assembly will make provisions in its annual budget for the purchasing of papers for the printing center adding that the Assembly will liaise with GES to get officials to manage the facility.
Edmond Oduro Agyei the community relations manager of AngloGold Ashanti said the project was borne out of the resolve of the company to improve the quality of education in Obuasi.
With a similar facility in the Obuasi East district, Mr. Agyei said the center will contribute to a more organized and reliable examination system, which will benefit both the school examiners and students, contributing to achieving AGA's 10-year SEDP intermediate outcome of improved quality education.
