The exercise, held under the leadership of the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Issahak Ibrahim, witnessed an impressive turnout of enthusiastic citizens who embraced cleanliness as a shared responsibility and a way of life.

Joining the DCE for the exercise was the Deputy Director of the Narcotics Control Commission, Hon. Stephen Yeboah, who commended the people of Agogoso for their active participation and commitment to keeping their environment clean. He encouraged all Ghanaians to emulate the community’s example in supporting the national campaign for a cleaner Ghana.

Addressing the participants, Hon. Issahak Ibrahim emphasized that “cleanliness is next to godliness,” urging residents to maintain regular cleaning habits in their homes and surroundings. He noted that a clean environment prevents the spread of diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and malaria, and saves families from spending their hard-earned income on hospital bills.

“If you keep your environment clean, you will not visit the hospital and spend your hard-earned monies on typhoid, malaria, and cholera,” Hon. Issahak advised.

The DCE extended his appreciation to traditional leaders (Nananom), departmental heads, youth groups, and all who contributed to the success of the exercise. He announced that the next phase of the district-wide sanitation campaign will take place in Mmoframfadwen and Nkroma communities in the coming weeks.

The District Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to supporting national sanitation initiatives and encouraged residents to continue making cleanliness part of their daily routine.
