The initiative forms part of the Assembly’s ongoing commitment to enhancing environmental cleanliness and promoting a healthier living environment for residents across the district. For decades, the dump site posed serious environmental and public health concerns to the community.

The removal of the long-standing refuse site is expected to greatly improve the aesthetic appeal of the area, reduce health risks associated with poor sanitation, and restore community pride among residents.

The Assembly expressed its appreciation to the Member of Parliament for her immense support and collaboration in executing the project. It further reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with key stakeholders and community members to ensure a clean, safe, and sustainable environment.
