The dump site, which had become a major eyesore, posed significant health risks to market users, traders, and the broader community. The accumulation of waste had also led to unpleasant odors and an increase in pests and rodents, further exacerbating the risk of disease transmission.

The clearance exercise, carried out by the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly, aims to improve sanitation and hygiene in the area. Residents and market users have welcomed the initiative, hoping it will not only improve the environment but also reduce health hazards.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com,  Mr.  Asibey emphasized the assembly's commitment to maintaining cleanliness and promoting public health in Kwadaso. "We recognize the challenges posed by poor waste management, and we are taking steps to address them," he said.

The evacuation of the dump site is part of broader efforts by the assembly to improve waste management infrastructure and practices in the municipality. The initiative is expected to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the area and contribute to a healthier environment for residents and visitors alike.

The community is urged to take ownership of their environment by properly disposing of waste and supporting the assembly's efforts to keep the municipality clean. The Kwadaso Municipal Assembly assures continued efforts to address waste management issues and promote a clean and healthy environment for all.
