Nkwanta North confirms DCE nominee, elect PM

This was after the members had elected Alhassan Abubakar, as the Presiding Member (PM) who won by eighteen votes out of twenty two, paving way for the confirmation of the DCE nominee on Tuesday April 8, 2025 at the District Assembly conference hall.
The new DCE thanked members for reposing confidence in him with an overwhelming victory of twenty two of twenty two votes representing hundred percent.
He assured the people and major stakeholders in the District of commitment to champion sustainable socio-economic development in the district.
Before the approval, the Nkwanta North Member of Parliament (MP), John Oti Bless, urged the Assembly members to prioritize unity in order to confirm the DCE nominee unanimously to ensure progressive development and prosecution of government’s reset agenda in the district.
He appealed to the people of Nkwanta North District to unite and support the DCE nominee Mr Kudjo Dordoe Isaiah to develop the district if confirmed.
For his part, the Oti Regional Minister John Kwadwo Gyapong also added his voice to the call for the confirmation of the nominee urging them to do away with all kinds of sentiments and rally behind him for the sake of development of the area.
He pleaded with the chiefs and people of Nkwanta North District to support Mr. Isaiah Dordoe Kudjo to develop the district.
During the confirmation, a total of 22 electorates were eligible to vote and the end of polls, DCE nominee, Isaiah Dordoe Kudjo secured a unanimous confirmation.
