He entreated Christians to make love their highest aim, pursue peace, and adding value to people; and cease to revenge and retaliate when wronged, or behave toward the offender invidiously -that is unacceptably and unfairly.

Standing on Proverbs 19:11 - "A man's wisdom gives him patience; it is his glory to overlook an offense" he contends that the celebration of Easter will be meaningless if we cannot forgive, eschew selfishness, greed, hatred, among others, and lead exemplary lives for others to emulate.

Thus, it behoves on every Christian to make this reflective festive season one with a difference that will see us departing from evil, and moving towards peace and righteousness.

In his Easter message to all Christians on the theme: "Beware of Offenses", he stated that forgiveness is a gift you give, which frees people to live a happy and healthy life, and opens to you new possibilities and relationships. "Treating people with kindness, respect and dignity reveals a person's empathy, compassion and humanity".

Christians, he noted should not harbour offenses in their hearts only to lose their divine connection and subsequent blessings of God. Indeed, many believers including Ministers of the Gospel have lost their touch with God because they failed to let go the offenses that came their way, by which they derived negative energy of hatred for the offenders, thereby ending up forfeiting the anointing of God upon their lives.
"Offenses are schemes and traps of the devil aimed at ensnaring the offended to surrender to Satan's will. No doubt, they lead to slavery, curses and grief. Offenses have led many great Men of God to lose their anointing, positions and hard earned reputations, as in the case of Moses, who after serving the Lord faithfully and performing miracles, allowed offense to deny him the Promised Land".

He thus, admonished all and sundry to learn to forgive one another, submit to the Lord's will at all times, and avoid being offended by the slightest provocation. "The Word of God is key to man's prosperity, and therefore, if we fail to heed to His warning and instructions, we shall miss the crown at last, or for that matter, reap a poor harvest. May God forbid !!! And may the Lord help us".
