According to the group, these individuals were spreading false information and stirring up unrest among the youth for personal gains.

“It has come to our attention that a few individuals, acting out of personal interest and with little regard for the welfare of the people, have been spreading misinformation and provoking unrest among the youth".

Mr Jonas Kabutey,  President of the Concerned Youth of Nzema, addressing a press conference  at Nkroful  in the Ellembelle  district, warned that such  actions could jeopardize peace, security and, economic stability in the community if not stopped immediately.

Mr Kabutey urged key stakeholders and security agencies to investigate the matter thoroughly and take swift action against individuals  found to be inciting  violence.

He also   called on the youth to remain calm, exercise restraint, and refrain from engaging in unlawful activities. Mr Kabutey indicated that due processes, dialogue, and lawful channels remained the only legitimate means of addressing concerns about the operations of the ADAMUS Mining Company.

Mr Kabutey reminded the perpetrators that "ADAMUS has offered employment to thousands of youth of Nzema and beyond of which the vulnerable depended on such workers".

"We acknowledged that there might be genuine issues requiring attention, and we remain committed to engaging with the ADAMUS Mining Company, community leaders, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure that grievances are addressed respectfully and constructively".
