Bono East MDCEs attend retreat

As part of the agenda to pursue a more progressive development strategy and to reposition assemblies in the Bono East Region, the Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) have successfully undergone a 3-day retreat at Akumadan.

The retreat will help the MDCEs to identify new revenue mobilization and investment areas for the social and economic development of their various districts.



The facilitators were experts in local government development, including the head of local government services in Ghana, Ing. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur, National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) General Secretary, Kokro Amankwah, a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Social Policy Studies, University of Ghana (UG), Dr George Domfeh, as well as the Chief Executive Officer for the Middle Belt Development Authority, Mr Joseph Kumah Mackey.



On the part of the Regional Minister Kwasi Adu-Gyan, he urged the participants to use their knowledge acquired to accelerate the socioeconomic development of our people and to work closely with all relevant stakeholders in their districts to achieve same.
