It will be held earlier because Volta Region is hosting this year’s National event.

This year’s celebration is on the theme: “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future.”

In a statement, the District Chief Executive, Mrs Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, extended a warm invitation to farmers, fisherfolk, traditional authorities, stakeholders, and residents to participate in the event, which seeks to honour the men and women whose work sustained the district’s food systems and supports economic growth.

She indicated that the ceremony would be held in collaboration with the Member of Parliament and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, noting that their joint presence underscored the district’s commitment to recognising excellence in agriculture.

Mrs. Doe emphasised the need to celebrate and encourage the district’s “food heroes,” adding that their resilience and contribution remain crucial to national development.

The event will feature the presentation of awards to outstanding farmers and other individuals who have distinguished themselves in various agricultural fields.
