He received an overwhelming endorsement, a 100 percent ‘yes’ votes from the 52-member assembly in an election supervised by the Electoral Commission at Nsawkaw, the district capital.

The assembly also elected Madam Millicent Adu as its Presiding Member.

In an interview with the media, Mr. Iddisah thanked the Assembly Members for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to tackle development shortfalls in the district.

He expressed worry about deplorable condition of roads and inadequate educational facilities, rallying the collaboration of all stakeholders to improve educational accessibility in the area.

Mr. Iddisah said the bad roads ought to be fixed to connect farming communities and enhance economic activities.

He underscored the need to empower the youth through apprenticeship programmes to make them useful in the community.

The DCE also urged the people to remain united and contribute to the development of the district.
