Akwasi Acquah pledges continuous support for Zongo communities

Mr. Akwasi Acquah, the Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda and Deputy Minister of Health, last Sunday met leaders of the Zongo communities, including the Akyem Oda Zongo Chief, other chiefs, and imams.

The purpose of the meeting was to gather firsthand information about pressing issues affecting their communities and to find meaningful ways to address them.

During the meeting, the Zongo Chief expressed deep gratitude for the support the MP has provided to their community since assuming office

He highlighted the MP's consistent contributions to Islamic education and efforts to promote sustainable growth and development within the Zongo community.

Other imams also raised concerns, including the need for improved road access within the Zongo community, the absence of a butcher house at the central market currently under construction, and the modernization and reconstruction of the Birim MA School and Islamic School in Akim Oda Zongo

Mr. Acquah, pleased with the opportunity to engage with the leaders, shared his journey as an MP and the accomplishments he has secured for his constituents.

He also emphasized the importance of the Zongo community supporting Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia's presidential candidacy, believing that his leadership would bring further development to the Zongo communities and the Oda constituency at large.

The meeting which was held at the official residence of the MP had the constituency chairman, Hon. Kwadwo Ampaabeng, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Joyce Adjoa Agyeiwaa, and other NPP party executives in the Akyem Oda constituency in attendance.
