MCE Leads Team To Serve Removal Notices On Structures Obstructing Road Construction

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Abubakar Sadiq, has led a team of officials to serve removal notices on structures obstructing ongoing road construction works within the municipality.

The exercise forms part of efforts by the Municipal Assembly to facilitate the smooth execution of road projects and ensure that developments conform to approved planning and construction standards.

The team inspected sections of the road where some structures and other developments had encroached on the road corridor, affecting the progress of construction.

Owners of the affected structures were served with notices to remove them within the stipulated period to pave the way for the continuation of the road project.

The MCE explained that the action was necessary to protect road reservations and prevent activities that could undermine the quality and sustainability of public infrastructure.

He urged affected property owners and residents to cooperate with the Assembly and comply with the notices to avoid enforcement measures.

The Assembly is expected to continue monitoring the affected areas to ensure that the road construction proceeds without further obstruction.
