Mr. Blay popularly known as Commander General, who is contesting the seat for the first time, said his ambition to win the seat is not to enrich himself and his family but to bring total development for the good people of Bia West since the area had been deprived from development by the incumbent MP.
He was accompanied by the Party’s Constituency Executives and a host of party supporters and sympathizers.
The nomination forms were received by Mr. Appiah Kubi Akrofi, the District Electoral Commission Officer after endorsement of the forms and other relevant documents by the EC signifying a successful presentation.
The Parliamentary Candidate after filing the nomination lauded the Electoral Commission for the smooth conduct of the just ended voters registration exercise and tasked the Commission to emulate same in the upcoming December elections by ensuring free, fair and transparent elections so as to bring peace and unity among the political parties before, during and after the elections.
Mr. Blay appealed to the constituents to vote for someone, who would bring development to their doorstep and improve upon their welfare rather than vote on party lines.
He appealed to faithful party members to adopt the door to door campaign strategies to canvass for more votes to win the seat from the incumbent this time round.
He was confident that, per the prudent programmes rolled out and performance of the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government over the past three and a half years in power indicates that victory would be on their part come December 7.
