Hon. Ibrahim explained that the electrification project, which began in March 2016, stalled under the previous administration, leaving residents of Kwame Dwaa, Mansaso, Bebefi, Peposo, Abpmpe, Bedabuor, and surrounding communities in prolonged darkness.

According to him, the NDC government under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama and Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor has re-awarded the contract to Simple Power Limited to ensure the completion of the long-abandoned project.

The Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Sarpong Kumakuma, noted that all the necessary materials and logistical support have been provided by the Energy Ministry, and contractors are currently on site working diligently. He assured that the project is expected to be completed within two months if work continues as scheduled.

“This project will bring relief to our communities, improve living conditions, and boost economic activities,” Hon. Ibrahim stated, adding that residents will soon have every reason to smile again.

The Government of Ghana, he added, remains committed to expanding access to electricity and improving the living standards of citizens, ensuring that no community is left behind in the drive toward nationwide electrification.
