Fire razes down parts of Juaben Serwah Market
The Juaben Serwah Market experienced a fire outbreak in the main market where they sell foodstuffs such as plantain, cassava, rice, and also provisional things and clothes were burned into ashes.

The fire affected sixty (60) stores in the market.
The cause of the fire outbreak was not known as at the time reporting, but the Fire Service Institution agreed to update the Assembly the cause of the fire.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Isaac Appaw-Gyasi and his entourage visited the market to ascertain the gravity of the outbreak.
Other dignitaries who accompanied the Municipal Chief Executive were the District Police commander, Raymond Kofi Erzuah and his men, the Parliamentary Candidate for New Juaben South constituency, Mr. Michael Okyere Baafi, Municipal Chief Guard, Mr. Mumuni, the Municipal NADMO Coordinator Mr. Isaac Adjabeng and Municipal Ghana Immigration Service Officer, Supt. K. Ampong.
The Chief Executive in his address attributed the cause of the fire outbreak to the market women saying the Assembly decongested the market and created a road path in the market but the market women disagreed with the Assembly.
He mentioned that management of the Assembly will be meeting the queen mothers of the various markets within Juaben South on Friday, 24th July 2020 to discuss issues that will bring sanity to our markets.
The Koforidua Central Police Commander for New Juaben South Chief Supt. Raymond Kofi Erzuah said the market women should desist from politics and allow the authorities to structure the market properly for us all to avoid any future occurrences again.
