According to her government alone cannot take on creation of jobs for the youth and was glad that Electrochem, a private salt mining company is operating within the enclave, hence the need to encourage entrepreneur skills of the youth to enable them to have something to do.

“So looking at the company coming to the Ada Traditional Area, it is something that is going to benefit the youth. As we say, they are the future leaders, and this is what we have for them”.

Speaking in an interview when Electrochem launched an out-growers scheme allocating land to the local indigenes to participate in the salt mining where they will sale to Electrochem Ghana Ltd, the DCE said the Assembly also stands to benefit as its revenue will increase in the process.

The DCE noted that graduates from the free senior high school particularly the girls will have the opportunity to proceed to the universities with scholarship opportunity from the company.

“We will encourage our female students to go into the field of science and with the support of the company there will be scholarships and after their tertiary education, they can come back and work for the company”, she pointed out.
