The initiative, according to the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Kate Mawusi Babanawo, is aimed at enhancing visibility at night, improving security and beautifying communities within the district.

The installation exercise has begun and will cover key public areas, including markets, lorry stations, health facilities, schools and major streets in Donkorkrom and other communities across the district.

Hon. Babanawo said the project forms part of the Assembly’s commitment to improving infrastructure and creating safer and more vibrant communities for residents.

She appealed to residents to support the initiative by protecting the street lights and ensuring that they are maintained to enable the facilities to serve the communities for many years.

The DCE also expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for his continued support towards development initiatives in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District.

She said the Assembly would continue to pursue interventions aimed at improving the living conditions and general wellbeing of residents.
