The chief, alongside community members of Kadue and Parambo Sawaba, is publicly demanding enhanced security, peace, unity, and the immediate removal of the local District Police Commander.

Residents say they no longer trust the local police force, claiming it fails to protect everyone fairly or respond promptly to threats.

Chief Alleges Police Interference in Chieftaincy Matters

According to Nana Kwame Aboeden IX, he and his elders have repeatedly protested against the police commander's alleged interference in local chieftaincy and land boundary disputes, instead of remaining neutral.

Traditional leaders have formally petitioned the National Security Council, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), and the Regional Police Command, requesting an urgent transfer or formal inquiry into the matter.

Court and Traditional Rulings Ignored

The chief stated that he and his traditional rulers have secured favourable rulings across four distinct legal and traditional forums:

* The Traditional Council

* The Regional House of Chiefs

* The National House of Chiefs

* The High Court of Justice in Kumasi

Despite these clear judicial and traditional rulings, Nana Kwame Aboeden IX emphasised that a self-styled claimant named Lanta Kwaku continues to parade himself as chief of Kadue, showing no respect for the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

Armed Thugs Unleashing Terror

According to the chief, Kwaku Lanta has been organising a group of armed thugs who are unleashing terror, violence, and destruction across Kadue and Parambo Sawaba.

Nana Kwame Aboeden IX lamented that the situation has become even more tragic and dangerous because these atrocities are happening directly under the watch of the local police commander.

He accused District Police Commander for Pru East, Yeji, ASP Gideon Ahenkorah, and his officers of turning a blind eye to the violence, claiming that rather than upholding the rule of law and protecting citizens, the commander's office has been compromised.

Reports of Violence Ignored

The Kadue Divisional Area stated that reports of violence, arson attempts, armed invasions, shootings, and physical assaults submitted by their members are systematically ignored or suppressed.

The Benkumhene of Yeji Traditional Council told Ghana Districts that victims of violence are shockingly told to "go and gather their own evidence" before police will act.

Urgent Calls for Intervention

Residents of Kadue Divisional Area are calling on:

* The National Security Council

* The Minister for Interior

* The Inspector General of Police

* The Bono East Regional Minister

* The Regional Security Council

They are demanding decisive steps to enforce the rulings of the High Court and the National House of Chiefs, preventing non-gazetted imposters from causing chieftaincy-related mayhem, arson, and land grabbing.

Independent Task Force Requested

The victims and people of Kadue and Parambo Sawaba are asking for:

1. Urgent operational control of the security situation in the Pru East District, Yeji

2. Bypass of the compromised local command

3. Dispatch of an independent task force to arrest perpetrators

4. Fair and uncompromising enforcement of the law
