Forestry Commission embarks on post-planting field assessment
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Forestry Commission, Martha Kwayie-Manu is embarking on a post-planting field assessment exercise to some selected Forest Districts in the Western North Region.

The field assessment is to evaluate the early stages of plant development after a month of the Green Ghana Day, which was observed on June 11, 2021.
According to the Forestry Commission, the assessment is based on weed control, plant vigour and survival.
Madam Martha Kwayie Manu indicated that the plants are doing well in all the places visited.
She urged Ghanaians to fully support the Green Ghana Initiative by planting more trees.
Some Forest Districts she visited include Juaboso, Sefwi Wiawso, Aowin and Bibiani Anhiwiaso Bekwai districts.
