The day-to-day administration of education in the district is overseen by the Ghana Education Service, which manages academic operations, staffing, and curriculum implementation. Meanwhile, the District Assembly plays a vital complementary role by providing infrastructure and creating an enabling environment to support effective teaching and learning.

The district is structured into five educational circuits, namely Kodie, Atimatim, Ankaase, Aboabogya, and Buoho. These circuits collectively host a total of 433 schools spanning pre-school, primary, and secondary levels.

This wide network of institutions reflects the district’s commitment to expanding access to education while strengthening foundational learning across communities.

With continued investment in infrastructure and improved coordination between stakeholders, Afigya-Kwabre South is positioning itself to enhance educational outcomes and promote inclusive development through learning.
