The late DCE had participated in a stakeholders’ meeting with the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mahama Ayariga, as part of engagements on the completion of the Kejetia Phase Two Redevelopment Project.

Reports indicate that upon his return to Mankranso, Mr. Sedik complained of body pains and was subsequently rushed to a health facility for medical attention, where he died.

His sudden passing has plunged residents, colleagues and political associates in Ahafo Ano South West and the wider Ashanti Region into mourning.

Mr. Sedik was appointed DCE for Ahafo Ano South West in 2025. Prior to his appointment, he served as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the constituency in the 2024 general elections.
