In the district, early childhood education is largely driven by private providers, ensuring that young children receive foundational learning at the nursery level. At the basic level, both public and private schools are actively contributing to teaching and learning, widening access and offering parents diverse educational options.

Meanwhile, second cycle education in the district is fully managed by government, with Senior High Schools playing a central role in preparing students for higher education and the job market.

Education stakeholders say this shared responsibility between public and private actors is helping to bridge access gaps and improve educational outcomes across the district.

The Assembly has reiterated its commitment to supporting both sectors to ensure that every child has access to quality education, from early childhood through to the secondary level.

Residents have welcomed the arrangement, describing it as a practical approach to expanding educational opportunities and strengthening human capital development in the district.
