New Juaben South Assembly Intensifies Monitoring of Government Projects Across Municipality

The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly has intensified monitoring of government-funded projects across the Municipality to ensure that ongoing development works are progressing according to schedule and will deliver the intended benefits to residents.

The inspection covered projects in key sectors including education, healthcare and market infrastructure, underscoring the Assembly’s commitment to improving public infrastructure and expanding access to quality services for residents.

One of the major projects inspected was the construction of the 24-Hour Agartha Market, which is steadily progressing.

The modern market, when completed, is expected to provide traders with a more organised, safer and conducive trading environment while boosting commercial activities and creating opportunities for local economic growth within the Municipality.

The Assembly said regular monitoring of the projects was essential to ensuring that contractors remained on schedule, quality standards were maintained and challenges affecting implementation were addressed promptly.

It further stressed that the projects represent important investments in the development of New Juaben South and must therefore be completed to the required standards and within the expected timelines.

The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with contractors, government agencies, development partners and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely completion and delivery of ongoing projects.

According to the Assembly, the ultimate objective is to ensure that government investments translate into better schools, improved healthcare facilities, stronger local economies and enhanced livelihoods for residents.

The ongoing monitoring exercise therefore forms part of efforts to ensure that development projects across New Juaben South move from construction sites to completed facilities that directly improve the lives of the people.
