The kits were officially handed over at the Regional Coordinating Council to Municipal and District Chief Executives, who will facilitate their distribution through master craft men and women to the beneficiaries in their respective districts.

Launched in 2025, the first phase of the programme has made significant impact, with over 300 young people successfully qualifying and benefiting from the government initiative aimed at sustainable job creation and skills development. Additionally, more than 40 master craft men and women also benefited, further strengthening the apprenticeship and training ecosystem across the region.

She further announced that the second phase of the programme will commence this year, with expectations of enrolling more beneficiaries than in the previous phase.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Charity Gardiner described the programme as a vital tool in the fight against unemployment and encouraged participants to be hardworking, disciplined, and committed to excellence in their chosen vocations. She urged them to see the opportunity as a stepping stone toward achieving their personal and professional goals.

She also encouraged young people who missed the opportunity last year to apply in the current phase, noting that the programme offers a strong foundation for economic independence, self-reliance, and decent livelihoods.

In conclusion, she expressed her appreciation to the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, for initiating the visionary and transformative programme, expressing confidence that the National Apprenticeship Programme will continue to positively impact lives across Ghana.
