EOCO boss pays courtesy call to Nkwanta

The Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), COP Maame Tiwa Addo-Danquah, and her team paid a courtesy visit to the Nkwanta South Municipal Assembly. The purpose of the visit included strengthening collaboration between EOCO and the Security Agencies, particularly the Ghana Police Service, to ensure the protection of public funds.

During the visit, she also inspected the office space provided to her outfit by the Nkwanta South Municipal Assembly and expressed gratitude for this gesture. She emphasized the need for an official vehicle and additional staff to be stationed in the region. Furthermore, she mentioned that her office was in the process of providing logistics, with the Oti Region being a priority.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Bright K. Lenwah, welcomed the delegation and highlighted the municipality's numerous tourist attractions, such as the Breast Mountain and waterfalls in the Kyabobo National Park, as well as the hanging village of Shiare. He encouraged them to visit and enjoy the scenic beauty of the municipality at their leisure, emphasizing its strong agricultural base, with significant cultivation of yams, cassava, and plantains.

Additionally, he mentioned the Assembly's plans to renovate several official buildings, including the structure currently housing EOCO in the Municipality, which is under consideration for renovation works next year.
