KMA identified as the most populated district

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) in the Ashanti Region has been identified as the most populated district amongst all 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies across the country.

This was contained in the 2021 Population and Housing Census.

According to the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), the population of the Metropolis skyrocketed to 443,981 with 213,662 males and 230,319 females.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s population stood at 30.8 million per data from the GSS in the 2021 Population and Housing Census.
