Atwima Mponua unveils strategic (drip) earth moving equipment

On the 9th of September 2024, the Atwima Mponua District witnessed a significant milestone in its development efforts with the official unveiling of seven earth-moving equipment under the District Road Improvement Project, (DRIP).

In his address, District Chief Executive, Kwabena Nsenkyire expressed profound gratitude to the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government for its foresight in launching the DRIP initiative to address the challenges with poor road infrastructure in the district, thus significantly improving road connectivity across the district's for more than 500 communities.

 

Mr. Nsenkyire also issued a cautionary note to the district authorities, reminding them that the equipment should only be used for their intended purpose, as directed by the DRIP Chairman, Collins Ntim.

He further disclosed that the government had procured additional spare parts and logistics that would last for two years, with provisions for fuel to keep the machines operational.

 

The Constituency Chairman, Collins Addai, praised the government's continued commitment to the development of Atwima Mponua. He highlighted various flagship projects in the district, including schools, hospitals, the Free Senior High School (FSHS) initiative, and the construction of a stadium.

He lauded the achievements of the NPP government and urged party members to remain focused and united to "break the eight" in the upcoming elections.

 

Mr. Bismark Obuobi, speaking on behalf of the Member of Parliament, Isaac Kwame Asiamah, commended the government for its sterling performance in the constituency.

He praised Mr Asiamah’s contribution to the district, describing his legacy as an indelible mark in Mponua’s governance system. He noted that Mr. Seth Osei Akoto, a retired public servant, was the best candidate to continue the MP’s work. He called for unity and hard work to ensure the NPP remains victorious in the next elections.

 

Hon. Isaac Kofi Marfo, in his speech, emphasized the importance of unity within the party ranks. He outlined the numerous interventions his office had initiated in the areas of education, health, and security, which have contributed to the district's progress. He urged all stakeholders to work together for the greater good of Atwima Mponua.

 

Mr. Seth Osei Akoto, the NPP Parliamentary candidate for Atwima Mponua, expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from the community. He assured the gathering that, despite the false propaganda being spread about him, he remained focused on working with stakeholders to uplift the district.

He pledged to collaborate with the DCE, party executives, and Hon. Isaac Asiamah to ensure that the machines are used effectively to benefit the entire district.

He also called on the operators of the machines to be responsible in the discharge of their duties and requested the traditional authorities to help maintain the equipment when in their areas.

 

Nana Oti Boadua II, the chairman of the event, expressed his gratitude to the NPP government for its continuous support for Atwima Mponua. He acknowledged that all visible projects in the district were the handiwork of the NPP government and urged the community to reward the government at the polls.

He emphasized that the people of Atwima Mponua should support a government that has consistently met their developmental needs.
