The donation, which is intended to boost teacher morale and improve productivity, shifts attention to the welfare of teachers, who are often overlooked in educational support initiatives that focus primarily on students.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Hon. Adzowu said the intervention was inspired by his own experience as a former teacher and his understanding of the challenges educators face in carrying out their duties.

He noted that while schools frequently receive desks and learning materials for students, teachers often work with inadequate office furniture.

"If we want our children to excel, we must also invest in the welfare of teachers. They deserve a comfortable and dignified working environment because they are central to the learning process," he said.

The items presented included 250 teachers' chairs, 125 matching tables, and 20 swivel chairs for administrative heads and senior staff.

Hon. Adzowu also outlined the Assembly's commitment to improving educational infrastructure across the municipality. He announced plans to construct a modern office complex for the Municipal Education Directorate to provide a more conducive working environment for staff.

He further highlighted several ongoing and planned projects aimed at strengthening educational facilities, including the renovation of classroom blocks at St. Cyril's Anglican School at Akaporiso, the construction of a 40-seater water closet facility for the Independence Cluster of Schools at Brahabebome, and major infrastructure works at Christ the King Catholic Senior High School.

The projects at Christ the King Catholic Senior High School include the construction of boys' and girls' dormitories, a 12-unit classroom block, a science laboratory, and the fencing of the school with a new entrance.

Receiving the items on behalf of the schools, the Municipal Education Director, Mr. Kwabena Owusu Nketia, expressed appreciation to the MCE and the Municipal Assembly for the support.
