Parliamentary interest in disability issues growing – Dominic Napare

Mr. Dominic Napare, Vice Chair of the Parliamentary Disability Caucus, has said a lot of members of Parliament are developing a growing interest in disability issues.

The Parliamentary Caucus on Disability which was inaugurated with about 24 members now has over 100 members.

He said the Disability caucus in Parliament was now a recognised caucus with a full committee and dedicated funding for its activities.

Mr. Napare made this known at the launch of a five-year strategic plan for the Ghana Federation of Disability Organisations (GFD)

The Member of Parliament for Sene East said: β€œThe Parliamentary Caucus on Disabilities is evolving into a full committee of over 100 members, with dedicated funding on the horizon to power its monitoring and oversight role,”

He urged the disability sector to continue to show up and raise their voices to ensure that Ghanaians comply with the disability act.
