The ceremony, held earlier today, brought together Kpatilan Failu Mushe, Assembly staff, Constituency Executives, the project contractor, teachers, parents, and other key stakeholders to officially commence the project.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Abdul-Hafiz Adam underscored the importance of quality education infrastructure in improving teaching and learning outcomes within the Municipality. He charged the contractor to ensure that the project is executed to the highest standards and completed within the stipulated 12-month period.

The contractor, in response, assured the Assembly and the people of Gushegu of his commitment to delivering quality work within schedule, noting that efficiency and excellence remain the hallmark of his operations.

Kpatili Lana Failu, custodian of the land on which the school project is sited, appealed to the contractor to prioritize the recruitment of local labour to support the construction works. According to him, engaging community members will not only speed up the project but also provide income-generating opportunities for residents.

The construction of the classroom block and teachers’ quarters is expected to ease congestion in existing classrooms, improve accommodation for teachers, and ultimately enhance academic performance in the area.

The Assembly expressed optimism that with the collective support of stakeholders, the project will be completed on time to serve the educational needs of Gushegu Town and its surrounding communities.
