Through his strong lobbying skills, Mr. Akoto facilitated the distribution of over 150 startup kits for artisans, including sewing machines, makeup kits, hair dryers, plumbing tools, tiling equipment, and carpentry tools, leaving beneficiaries inspired and grateful.
This impactful initiative was commended by Mr. Eric Oti Nyarko, the Regional Director of the Ghana Enterprise Agency (GEA), who highlighted the program's potential to enhance the livelihoods of local artisans.
Hon. Collins Addai also urged beneficiaries to show their appreciation by supporting the ruling party in future elections, emphasizing the positive impact of government policies on poverty alleviation.
Mr. Akoto urged recipients to put their new tools to good use and to become role models in their communities.
He also requested that GEA officials actively monitor progress and ensure that the initiative translates into real economic growth.
But the generosity didn’t stop there. As a proud son of the late Nana Baffour Akoto, Mr. Akoto also presented 200 Free Senior High School (SHS) entrants with essential supplies, including chop boxes and steel trunks.
Mr. Akoto shared his dreams of seeing future doctors, engineers, and other professionals emerge from the district, noting that he has supported BECE candidates for three consecutive years to help improve educational outcomes in Mponua.
He added that, if elected, he would make scholarship opportunities for local students a top priority.
The gesture, witnessed by local clergy, students, party supporters, artisans, and residents, drew applause and heartfelt prayers for Mr. Akoto’s continued success.
