The CPAs were recruited by the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) as part of efforts to empower young people to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic and sustainable development of Ghana.
The DCE interacting with some 70 personnel posted to the Sekyere central District advised that they should exhibit professionalism in the discharge of their mandate and desist from all activities and actions likely to put the image of YEA and Police Administration into disrepute; adding that the CPAs were recruited to assist the police to maintain law and order.
Mr. Koduah said as they had been granted the authority to assist police personnel, they should prepare to comply with all the codes and ethics of the Ghana Police Service and also disclosed that the final batch of the personnel are expected to be released in the coming month to bring the total number of recruits close to 100.
