Bosome Freho DCE cuts-sod for the construction of police station

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosome Freho in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Kofi Adu Amoateng, has cut the sod for construction of an ultra-modern police station to reduce crime rate in the area.

The facility being funded by District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) when completed would comprise of charge office, cell, washroom, station officer's office among others.

At the ground breaking ceremony at Nsuta the DCE underscored the invaluable peace and security as an indispensable tool for sustainable growth and development of any community, hence ongoing efforts by the assembly to support the police administration to improve security in the District.

The DCE indicated that community development is a shared responsibility and urged the residents of Nsuta to rally behind the government to ensure rapid development.

The District Police Commander for Bosome Freho, DSP Seidu Braimah praised the government for his immense contribution towards improving security in the area.

According to him, the police station would go a long way to address the crime rate in the adjoining communities.

Nana Kwabena Agyapong ll, Sanaahene of Kokofu Traditional Council who represented the Paramount Chief Kokofu Traditional Area, Barima Ofe Kwasi Oko Gyeasuo ll, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the government for resourcing the security service.

He appealed to the contractor working on the project to deliver quality work to ensure value for money.

He said the people of the District who are the beneficiaries of the project will not accept any shoddy work that could not stand the test of time.
