Responding to a question by the Deputy Minority Leader, Patricia Appiagyei on his strategy to deal with uncompleted projects and also possible monitor to ensure MMDAs do not start projects they cannot complete, he said the basis for the large numbers of uncompleted projects at the Assemblies is lack of funds.

As such he said prompt and regular release of funds as promised by the Finance Minister would be the panacea to solving the menace.

He said as the DACF Director, he works with the amount that are allocated on year by year basis; and government's own forecast may give some indications and that may help make projections forward “whether or not we can execute the projects we start”.

“I think what has really caused delays in the past has been availability of funds coming to the DACF”. He promised to maintain cordial relationship with leadership of Parliament to help him engage with the finance minister to ensure that funds that are due are released quickly.

He disclosed that the finance minister has earlier at an engagement with heads of funds serve notice that he intends to make their releases automatic; "that means that we can look forward to regular inflows; and I gave assurance that I will similarly ensure that the districts receive their money as quickly as possible ", he stated.
