Ghana 2021 Population and Housing Census (Ashanti Region)

The Ashanti Region is centrally located in the middle belt of Ghana. It lies between longitudes 0.15W and 2.25W, and latitudes 5.50N and 7.46N. The region shares boundaries with four of the ten political regions, Brong-Ahafo in the north, Eastern Region in the east, Central Region in the south, and Western Region in the Southwest.

The Region has a population of 5,440,463 in 2021 of Ghana's total population. With a total male population standing at 2,679,914 and a total female population at 2,760,549. The Region has a total Household of 1,523,101 which refers to a person or a group of two or more persons (related or unrelated) who live together, share housekeeping arrangements (eating and sleeping), and recognize one person as the head.
