The initiative forms part of efforts to improve lighting and visibility within the district while enhancing safety and security for residents, pedestrians and motorists, particularly during the night.
According to the collaborators, the installation of the solar streetlights will facilitate safer and smoother movement of vehicles and pedestrians after dark, while also providing security agencies with better visibility to monitor streets and respond promptly to incidents.
The project is expected to contribute to creating safer and more vibrant communities as residents prepare for the annual Homowo festivities.
The Ningo-Prampram District Assembly and its partners said the initiative reflects their shared commitment to brighter communities, safer streets and improved living conditions for residents.
