There is inadequate office space and residential accommodation facilities for the decentralized departments as such most of them operate from Wa. This situation is creating administrative bottlenecks in the effective running of the district.

Traditional Authority

The traditional rulers and their elders resolve conflicts and maintain law and order throughout communities in the district.  The district has divisional chiefs but it has no traditional council and paramountcy.
